What is paintball?
Paintball is a fun, fast paced, energetic sport that is good for all ages and walks of life. It involves two teams with paintball markers and can be played as an elimination style, capture the flag, or many other fun scenarios. It is a sport that is rapidly growing from its roots over 15 years ago and is rapidly becoming one of the most popular extreme sports out there today.

Is it safe?
Yes! Paintball is actually one of the safer sports you can play. Statistically more people get injured in tennis and even golf then in paintball. Our staff works with all of our players new and experienced to make sure everyone knows the safety rules before they are brought onto a field of play.

Who can play?
The best part about paintball is that anyone of any age, race, or religion, or athletic ability can play and have a good time! We cater to people ages 10-100 from every background imagineable.

Does it hurt?
While being hit with a paintball is certainly not pleasant it is no where near as bad as some people may say. Some people compare it to a small pinch or sting. Bare skin is where it will hurt the most which is why we recommend covering as much skin as possible. Also layers will help reduce the pain. Once you get going on the field and playing and the adrenalin starts pumping you will many times not even notice being shot.

What does it cost?
Our prices are listed here: http://www.fireballmountain.com/prices.html. For beginners we suggest splitting a caseof 2000 rounds($45+tax) between 2-4 people. Group discounts are available by reservation and prices for groups can be found here: http://www.fireballmountain.com/groups.html

What do I wear?
The typical answer to this question is to cover as much skin as possible. We suggest you wearing long sleeves, pants, a hat, and gloves. Also remember you will be running, crawling, sliding, and diving throughout your playing so wear something that you don't mind getting dirty. Although the paint washes out pretty well dirt and grass stains may not. It is always a good idea to bring a few layers as it may get hot, cold, rainy, or snowy throughout the day and it will also help you deal with paint tolerance of getting hit with the paintballs. Lastly we recommend a change of clothes for the ride home as you may be covered in grass dirt or paint by the end of the day.

Do I need a group?
A group of people is not necessary although many will come in small groups of 2-5. We are open weekends for walk-ons 9-4 year round and if the weather is nice we will usually have a pretty good sized crowd where you can come by yourself or with a few others

Do I need reservations?
While reservations are not required, if you have a group of 10 or more they are certainly recommended. Our field operates on a first come first serve basis in terms of walk-on play. When you make a reservation at least 1 week in advance we make sure to have the correct amount of equipment, paint, and staff so it is definitely suggested, but we are open for Walk-on play from 9-4 on weekends year round.

Are group discounts available?
Yes, we offer two types of group packages: A half day or a Full day. The information about them can be found here: http://www.fireballmountain.com/groups.html or if you have a very large 50+ or special type of group idea you can call 609-752-5032 or email Ryan@fireballmountain.com to make a custom package.

How does the weather affect play?
Paintball is a rain or shine, sleet or snow type sport. We play all year round and pretty much battle the elements as well as our opponents on the field. While fall and spring are considered by most to be the optimum times to play summer and winter ball is just as popular.
